As you know, over the midterms Ms. Dorrell and I shifted the library. We moved out some reference books, shifted the fiction up the front of the library, and cleaned up. In that process, we also got rid of or "weeded" a lot of books. We had books such as How To Prepare for the Metric System and Encyclopedia of UFO's. Clearly we did not need these titles anymore. We aren't the only ones that weed through our collection. Other libraries do the same thing and come up with some interesting results. The site below is to a site dedicated to the art of weeding.

Nice segue, Ms. Platt. Hi guys! I am reading a book that I will be ADDING to the library in a couple of weeks. It is called "In a Heartbeat" by Loretta Ellsworth. It is about two girls, one who dies and donates her heart to another girl on life support. They don't know each other, but the girl who received the heart starts to take on characteristics of the girl who died. By the way, you should check out magical realism when you get a chance so you can compare elements between that genre and this theme. Also, it's perfect timing to read this book if you're interested at all in going to see Body Worlds :)
